Strawberry blue cheese burger

Pairs well with:

Get cozy and get pouring. Our Merlot is the wine for long weekends and lengthy chats.

I came up with this idea from salad that I had in one of local restaurants. so this can be good local American burger since most people here are from some where else.

For Strawberry sauce
2 cups strawberries pureed
1 tablespoon juice of lemon
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2-3 teaspoons suger
(depend on how sweet strawberries are)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For burgers
2 pounds beef sirloin
1/2 a small onion chopped
1 tablespoon garlic minced
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon flat-leaf parsley chopped
4 slice of turkey bacon cooked & chopped(or you can buy store box bacon bits)
2 teaspoons *Johnny’s seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 egg lightly beaten
2 tablespoons bread crumbs
canola oil for brushing a grill & burgers

6 kaiser rolls
8 oz good creamy blue cheese
3 cups baby spinach
6 slice of beef tomato

*Johnny’s seasoning is from Washington state. My husband is from there & his family use it for just about everything. It is really good but it is hard to find here in Vegas.

Make stawberry sauce first. combine all ingredients for the sauce into a bowl & mix together. set a side.
Combine meat & all other ingredients for burger into a large bowl and mix together and make 6 patties.
Preheat a grill to medium high heat and brush a grill & patties with oil. and cook 3-4 minutes on each side. When flip burgers, put slice cheese on top.
Toast lightly split rolls and spread rolls halves with the sauce. lightly mix spinach with the sauce and seasoning salt. Pile burger.tomato and spinach and put more sauce top of blue cheese.
