Stuffed Better Burgers
Ingredients
1/2 Cup Bulgur Wheat
1/2 Lb. Lean Ground Beef
1 Medium Onion
1/2 Cup Pine Nuts
1 Teaspoon Allspice
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
1 Lb. Lean Ground Beef
1 Finely Chopped Onion
1/2 Cup Chopped Parsley
1 Teaspoon Salt Pepper, To Taste
Instructions
Soak the Bulgur Wheat in hot water and set aside. Brown the 1/2 Lb. Ground Beef and the Medium Onion. Add the 1/2 Cup Pine Nuts, 1 Teaspoon Allspice, 1/2 Teaspoon Salt, and 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice to the browned Beef and Onion. Set aside. Mix 1 Lb. Ground Beef, 1 finely chopped Onion, 1/2 Cup chopped Parsley, the soaked and drained Bulgur Wheat, 1 Teaspoon Salt, and Pepper to taste. Flatten 8 thin patties, stuff with pinenut mixture on 4 of the patties. Place another patty over the filling. Seal with moistened hands. Pan fry in olive oil or grill for 8 to 10 minutes on each side.
