Stuffed Mushroom Burger

Cabernet Sauvignon

This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.


1 1/2 lb 80-85% lean ground top round
1/4 tsp granulated onion
1/4 tsp granulated garlic
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbls Sutterhome Cabernet Sauvignon
1 Tbsp catsup
1 Tbsp butter
4 med mushrooms, sliced
dash each of granulated onion, granulated garlic, black pepper
2 Tbsp Sutterhome Cabernet Sauvignon
Two slices monteray jack or swiss cheese, 2"x2"x1/4"



Combine all Burger Mix ingredients. Mix well, divide into four patties and set aside. Stuffing Mix: Melt butter in fry pan, saute mushrooms. Add spices. Cook till tender. Add 2 Tbsp wine. Reduce wine from pan. Assembling Burgers: Divide mushroom mix in half. Place each half of mushroom mix on two of the patties. Place a slice of cheese on each. Cover with remaining pattie and press to seal edges. Grill patties on a sheet of aluminum foil, about 3 minutes each side. Serve on your bun of choice, or salad of choice.
