Stuffed Taco Burgers

Zinfandel

Bright and full-bodied, this Zinfandel wine is a curious contradiction in tastes.

Ingredients

2 lbs-lean ground beef
1/2 cup-taco sauce
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
1 8oz pkg-shredded mexican cheese blend
1/2-onion, chopped fine
1 small-tomato, chopped fine
1/2 can whole kernel corn
6 large-hamburger buns
1 1/2 cups shredded lettuce
1 cup sour cream

 

Instructions

Mix first three ingredients, make into 12 equal thin patties. place small nest of cheese on six patties, mix onion and tomato and corn, place heaping spoon on top of cheese, cover with more cheese. Lay bare pattie on top of heaped pattie and press together well making sure nothing protrudes out of meat mixture. Grill on high until seared, approx. 2 minutes, on lower rack. Move to higher rack and grill over medium heat until done, approx. 20 minutes. Smear top of buns with sour cream, place heaping bunch of lettuce on sour cream, place burger on buns. Close and eat!
