Summer Smoked Burger

Ingredients

-1 lb. of lean ground beef
-1 tsp. chili powder
-1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
-1/2 tsp. sugar
-1 tsp. kosher salt
-1 tbsp. chipotle powder
-4 cloves finely chopped garlic
-1 chopped fresh (ripe) mango
-1 finely chopped vidalia onion
-juice of one fresh squeezed lime
-1 tsp. extra virgin olive oil
-1/2 can of unsalted & drained sweet corn
Ingredients to top burger:
-slices of smoked mozzarella
-sliced avocado
-sliced red onion
-bunch of cilantro

 

Instructions

-Place lean ground beef in large bowl. -Add chili powder, cayenne, sugar, salt and chipotle powder & fold into beef with clean hands. -Finely chop 4 large cloves of garlic & add to mix. -Carefully slice skin off of mango & slice fruit into 4-6 halves. Add these halves to a small food processor or chopper. Be wary of the hard pit-like center & discard. Chop into small chunks. Fold mango into beef mixture. -Slice vidalia onion into halves & place in food processor until finely chopped. Fold into mix. -Cut one lime in half & squeeze both halves into beef. -Drizzle one tsp. of olive oil into beef. -Drain can of sweet corn, rinse and fold into beef- mix well. -Form into patties/ place on foil.
