Supreme Italian Pizza Burger

Bright and full-bodied, this Zinfandel wine is a curious contradiction in tastes.


One green pepper One yellow or red onion
Black olives sliced (half cup)
Pre sliced pepperoni (half cup)
Part skim mozzarella sliced thin(6pcs.)
Part skim mozzarella cubed (8 oz.)
Pan sausage crumbled (1 lb.)
Small jar of pizza sauce
Lean Ground Beef (3 lbs.)
Sliced mushrooms (8 oz.)



Prepare crumbled sausage and mushrooms in a pan on medium heat.Cook until brown and drain excess fat. Prepare sliced pepper and onion in a saute pan with a tsp. of olive oil on medium heat.Saute for 5 minutes until pepper is soft, add olives and Set aside.Patty the beef by hand into 12 medium size patties.Add sausage mixture and cubed cheese to the center of 6 patties.Top the sausage and cheese with 2 tbsp. og pizza sauce. Take another patty and cover the sausage mixture and close the sides of both patties with your finger.Cook the beef patties on medium heat for 25-30 minutes or so until well done.Place on a soft Italian Roll and top off with a slice of mozarella, slice of pepper and onion (yellow or red) and a handful of olives and pepperoni in the center.Voila' it's Italian fun in a bun.
