surf and turf burger

Every pour of our Pinot Noir brings you a delicious blend of berry flavors and the romantic aroma of violet.


For the Surf:
3 Pkgs Chicken of the Sea premium Lump Crab meat
3 Tbsp red pepper ( finely chopped)
3 tbsp green onion ( finely chopped)
1/4 tsp seasoned salt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp lemon zest
4 tsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
5 dashes Tabasco sauce
1 egg ( slightly beaten)
1/4 cup bread crumbs
4 tbsp Alouette Garlic and Herb Spread
For the Turf:
1 1/2 lbs ground sirloin
1 slice white bread (soaked in milk)
1/4 cup onion (vidalia finely chopped)
2 1/2 tsp McCormick Steakhouse seasoning
1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
2 1/2 tbsp worchestire sauce
2 tbsp A-1 steak sauce
For the Bread:
12 slices Pepperidge Farm Garlic Texas Toast



Empty the crabmeat into a bowl and run your fingers through the crabmeat to check for shell bits, then combine with red pepper, green onion, seasoned salt, cayenne pepper, lemon zest, lemon juice, tabasco. Set aside and in a separate bowl beat your egg slightly. To your crabmeat add the egg, breadcrumbs, and then your alouette cheese until nicely mixed but you don’t want to break up the crabmeat too much. Put crabmeat into a well buttered non-stick pan.
In a small bowl take your 1 bread slice and cover it with milk, it will be soggy, squeeze it over the sink and only leave alittle milk in bread, transfer the bread into mixing bowl, add your ground sirloin, McCormick Steakhouse seasoning, salt, worchestire, and A-1, mix incorporating the bread slice into the meat until unnoticeable. Do not work the meat too much after that. Make into 6 oval patties.
Preheat your grill, once it is hot turn down on low and place the pan with the crabcakes on the grill along with the beef. Close lid for 5 minutes and then open the lid and cook for desired meat temperature. I did an addtl 7 minutes. Remove the beef and put an aluminum foil tent over them. Grill the Texas Toast until each side is slightly brown. Remove the crabcake mixture and the bread and assemble your Surf and Turf burger. One slice of toast–turf–1/2 cup of surf the other slice and enjoy this great meal.
