Sweet And Tangy Raisin Burger With Quick Pickled Cucumbers
Ingredients
- 2 Pounds of 80/20 chuck
- 2 Tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 Cup plump raisins
- 1+1/2 Teaspoon pepper
- 1 +1/2 Teaspoon salt
- 2 Cups garden cucumbers, peeled
- 1/2 half vidalia onion
- 1/2 Cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 Cup water
- 1/3 Cup sugar
- 6 brioche buns
- 6 leaves of romaine
Instructions
- 1.
- Peel all cumcumber and cut into thin slices
- 2.
- Slice the vidalia slices thin and place the cumcumbers and onions in a small bowl with lid
- 3.
- Mix the vinegar, water, 1/3 Cup sugar,1 Teaspoon salt, 1 Teaspoon pepper together and place over the cucumber and onions.
- Cover with tight lid and place in the refrigerator, or ice cooler
- 4.
- In large bowl, mix hamburger, worcestershire, 1/2 Teaspoon pepper, 1/2Teaspoon salt and raisins
- 5.
- Form 6 patties and place on grill, cooking 5-6 minutes per side, per 1/2 inch of thickness, or until the temp reaches 160 fahrenheit
- 6.
- Butter the brioche buns and grill for 1 minute
- 7.
- Place romaine on bottom bun and place some of the cucumbers and onions on top, to prevent them from falling out.
- If cucumbers are too wet, lightly blot on paper towel
- 8.
- Place hamburger on top and ENJOY
