Sweet & Spicy Bacon Jam Sirloin Burger

Ingredients

  • 2 Pounds of Ground Sirloin
  • 1 TablespoonsHimalayan Pink Salt
  • 1 TablespoonsBlack Pepper
  • 1 Pound Thick Cut Bacon
  • 1 Medium Onion
  • 2 Small Shallots minced
  • 3 cloves of Garlic minced
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Grade A Maple Syrup
  • 1/3 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Teaspoon Chilli Powder
  • 15 Crimini Mushrooms
  • 1/2 Cup Surtter Home Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 2 ts Salted Butter
  • 3 slices Swiss Cheese
  • 3 Cups of Spring Mix
  • 12 Slices of Roma Tomatoes
  • 12 Inner Rings of Onion
  • 3/4 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 Cup Sriracha

Instructions

  • Bacon Jam Recipe!
  • Cut Bacon into 1 inch pieces and pan saute until crispy
  • Transfer crisp bacon pieces onto a plate covered with a paper towel.
  • Remove all but 3 Tablespoonsof Bacon Fat from the pan.
  • To the pan add:
  • 1 Medium Onion finely chopped
  • 2 Small Shallots minced
  • 3 Cloves Garlic minced
  • Saute until translucent
  • Then Add:
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Grade A Maple Syrup
  • 1/3 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 ts Chili Powder
  • Stir on Low-Med heat until it thickens. Remove from heat and fold in Crisp Bacon.
  • Set aside
  • Hand mix Ground Sirloin with Pink Salt and Pepper.
  • Make 12 2 ounce Slider Burger Patty’s.
  • Cook on Charcoal Grill for 4 mins on each side or until the Sirloin Patty’s reaches 160 degrees F.
  • While burgers are cooking, add mushrooms, butter & Cabernet Sauvignon into the pan.
  • Saute on medium heat until Mushrooms are soft & have absorbed wine and butter.
  • Set aside.
  • Separate Top & Bottom Brioche Slider Buns.
  • Spread a Tablespoonsof Bacon Jam on each of the Bun Bottom.
  • Add a Beef Slider Burgers on top of Bacon Jam Buns.
  • Top with a ts of Cabernet Braised Mushrooms and 1/4 slice of Swiss Cheese.
  • Place Bottom Bun Burgers in grill for 2 mins or until Cheese has melted.
  • Remove from grill and top with:
  • 1 Ring of Onion
  • 1 Slice of Tomato
  • Combine Mayo & Sriracha.
  • Spread a Teaspoon of Mayo/Sriracha Sauce onto each top bun.
  • Place a bit of Spring Mix on each top bun with Spicy Aioli.
  • Place top Buns on all Bottom Burger Buns.
