Sweet Summer Peach Burger With Crispy Sweet Potato

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 Pound ground chuck
  • 3/4 Pound ground pork
  • 1 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 Teaspoon pepper
  • 2 Teaspoons garlic salt
  • 1 Teaspoon sage
  • 6 Whole grain buns
  • 6 Slices Havarti cheese
  • Spring mix (arugula, frisee, mixed greens)
  • 6 Slices grilled peaches
  • 6 Slices sweet potato
  • 1/4 Cup corn starch
  • 2 Cups vegetable oil Peaches:
  • 1/4 Cup marmalade
  • 1/4 Cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 Teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 Teaspoon pepper flakes

Instructions

  • 1. Mix the peach sauce ingredients together; place in a medium pan sauce pan and cook on low until reduced by half 2. Mix all the hamburger ingredients in a large bowl and form 6 patties 3. Cook the burgers 5 to 6 minutes on each side, per 1/2-inch thickness of the burgers, or until thermometer reads 160 degrees internal 4. Cut 6 slices of peach and place on the grill, for 2 minutes on each side; cook longer, if you prefer it softer 5. Cut 6 slices of the sweet potato, dry thoroughly on a paper towel and dust in corn starch 6. In a medium sauce pan, heat cooking oil to 350 and fry the sweet potato for 5 to 6 minutes, until golden brown 7. In the last minute of cooking the burger, place the Havarti cheese on top to melt 8. Butter the whole wheat buns and place on grill for 2 to 3 minutes 9. Place the mixed greens on bottom bun 10. Place grilled peach on top of greens 11. Place burger on top of peach, top burger with crispy fried sweet potato and top with peace sauce 12. Crown with top bun and feed your face
