Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
2/3 cup Honey Teriyaki with Sesame marinade
ground pepper and salt to taste
6 slices pineapple, fresh or canned
6 slices swiss cheese
6 whole grain/wheat hamburger buns
6-12 tablespoons Honey Teriyaki with Sesame marinade
Crisp lettuce leaves
Sliced red onion
Sliced tomato

Instructions

With hands, mix ground chuck and teriyaki marinade until well combined. Form mixture into six 1/2 pound hamburger patties. Sprinkle with salt and ground pepper to taste. Grill burgers on medium-high to medium or medium well, depending on the diner's preference. Approximately 4-6 minutes per side. In the final minutes of cooking the teriyaki burgers, top with swiss cheese slices to melt cheese. While the burgers are cooking, grill the pineapple slices until just carmelized, approximately 2-3 minutes per side. Lightly toast hamburger buns on the grill, 1-2 minutes. Assemble your teriyaki burgers by spreading one to two tablespoons additional teriyaki marinade on the open hamburger buns. Place teriyaki burger on bottom bun half, topping with sliced tomato, sliced red onion and fresh crisp lettuce. Top with hamburger bun crown/top and enjoy!
