Texas Beef & Salsa Burger

Pairs well with:

White Zinfandel

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.


1 lb. ground beef
3/4 cup salsa (mild or hot depeding on your taste)
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. garlic salt
4 slices of jalapeno jack cheese
1 large tomato
1 avacado
4 buns (optional)



Mix ground beef, salsa, black pepper and garlic salt in a bowl. Divide into four sections, pat and form into a patty. Grill until medium-well. Just before removing from grill place cheese slices on burger to melt. Slice tomato and avacado; place them on top of burger. The bun can be excluded for those on a low carb diet.
