Texas Size Taco Burger

Ingredients

Dressing
4 oz sour cream
8 oz thick-n-chunky salsa
Hamburgers
3lbs ground sirloin 90/10
2 packets 1.25oz taco seasoning
2 tablespoons ground cilantro
1 cup Sutter Home Merlot
vegetable oil for grill
1 cup shredded taco cheese
6 pieces of lettuce
6 cheddar and onion kaiser rolls

 

Instructions

1) In medium bowl mix together sour cream and salsa. Cover and place in refrigerator. 2) Prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill with a cover, or preheat a gas grill to medium-high. 3) In large bowl mix together sirloin, taco seasoning, and cilantro. 4) Add Merlot to meat mixture and combine all ingredients. Divide mix into six patties. 5) When the grill is ready, brush the grill rack with vegetable oil. 6) Add hamburgers to grill and cover grill immediately. 7) Cook for 10 minutes open grill lid, flip, close lid and cook an additional 10 minutes. 8) Open lid and add shredded cheese to top of burgers, cook an additional 5 minutes. With lid shut. 9) Cut kaiser rolls in half and place on grill. Cook rolls and hamburgers an additional 5 minutes. With lid open. 10) Place bun bottom on plate. Place 1 piece of lettuce on each bun. 11) Remove salsa sauce from refrigerator and spoon some onto each piece of lettuce. 12) Place burger on salsa mix. Add bun cover. 13) Enjoy!
