Instructions

Preheat a gas grill to a medium high temperature. In a bowl, combine sour cream and lime juice. Incorporate lime juice into sour cream. Chill until ready to serve burgers. In a large bowl, combine ground chuck, salt, cumin, black pepper and chili powder. Mix thoroughly until seasonings are incorporated. Divide ground chuck into equal portions to form 6 hamburger patties. Brush the grill rack with vegetable oil. Place the patties on the rack and cover. Cook all burgers on grill until burgers reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees. Flip only once 8 minutes into cooking. After burgers have completed cooking. Add 1 slice of jalapeno pepper monterrey jack cheese to each burger patty and allow to melt for 3 min. Heat 6 kaiser rolls for 2 mins, flat sides down on grill. Slice the tomato into equal slices. Roughly chop cilantro (be sure to remove stems). To assemble burgers, generously spread lime-sour cream spread on both sides of the kaiser roll. Place hamburger patty on bottom half of roll. Add cilantro on top of patty and top with a tomato slice. Cover with top half of the roll. Serve. Makes 6 burgers.
