Thai Turkey Burger with Hoisin Peanut Sauce

This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.

Ingredients

Sauce
1 tsp. dark sesame oil
2 T chopped onion
1 t fresh ginger, peeled and minced
3 T Hoisin sauce
2 T peanut butter
1 t fresh lime juice
2 Lbs ground white turkey
1/2 small red onion, chopped
1 t coarse salt
1/2 t fresh ground black pepper
2 T olive oil
6 Kaiser rolls
1/2 small Napa cabbage, finely shredded

 

Instructions

Preheat grill to medium heat. In a medium grill proof saute pan heat oil for 1 minute. Add onion and ginger and saute 2 minutes stirring frequently. Reduce heat to low and add Hoisin sauce, peanut butter and lime juice. Cook 3 minutes, remove and set aside. Increase heat to medium hight. In a large mixing bowl mix together turkey, onion, salt and pepper. Shape into 6 burgers. Grill burgers 6 minutes each side or until just cooked through. One minute before burgers done brush rolls with olive oil and lightly toast on grill. Remove and brush roll tops and bottoms with sauce. Place cabbage on roll bottoms and then add burgers. Top with rolls tops and serve.
