The Best Burger Ever

Bright and full-bodied, this Zinfandel wine is a curious contradiction in tastes.

Ingredients

2 lbs ground chuck
1 lb ground sirloin
3 tablespoons steak sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
3/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper to taste
4 tablespoons room tempature unsalted butter
6 extra-large egg yolks
cheese of your choice
12 hamburger buns

 

Instructions

Mix the first two ingredients (chuck and sirloin, steak sauce, egg yolks with a fork, careful Not to mash. Form each burger and press lighly into a hamburger shape. Made an slit and place a small slice of butter inside each burger but not totally inside of the burger. Heat on grill, or sauce pan and cook the burgers for abut 3 to 5 minutes on each side until they are just about done. Put an a plate and cover with aluminun foil. Let the burgers sit for 5 minutes and then put on the bun. You can add cheese of your choice when you cover with the foil.
