Instructions

Directions:
Preheat a gas grill to medium-high.

Place the meat in a large mixing bowl. In a medium bowl whisk together 1/3 cup wine, garlic powder, chili powder, pepper, and salt. Pour into the bowl with the meat and gently blend together. Gently form 6 patties slightly larger than the rolls.

In a medium bowl blend together the remaining wine, 1/3 cup BBQ sauce and the butter, divide in half. Half is for basting the burgers and the other half is the bun spread for grilling.

Brush the oil on the patties or grill. Place the patties on the grill for 4 minutes and make a quarter turn. Grill another 4 minutes then flip the patties and baste. Repeat the grilling process then baste again and flip the patties. Spread half of the BBQ sauce on the patties, flip and add a slice of cheese on each patty and grill for 2 minutes, cover with the remaining BBQ sauce, flip, grill 2 minutes, and then remove. You can reduce or increase the grilling time to your preferred doneness.

While the burgers are grilling spread the bun spread on the insides of the rolls. Place the rolls on the grill to toast a light golden with 4 minutes remaining on the burgers. Blend the salsa and Chutney together and spread evenly on the toasted rolls insides. Toss the spinach and the dressing together.

Now it’s time to build your best Texas BBQ Cheese Burger ever grilled in Texas. Add a cheeseburger patty to the roll bottoms. Add 1/4 cup each of the tossed spinach, Avocado, and tomatoes. Crown with the roll tops and serve with immediately Texas pride.
