The Denver Burger
Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 teaspoons chili pequin
1 teaspoon Grey Poupon
1/4 teaspoon sage
1/4 teaspoon saffron
1/2 cup mozzarella
1/4 teaspoon colavita olive oil
1 avocado sliced
1 tomato sliced
6 iceberg lettuce leaves
6 kaiser rolls
Instructions
Mix all ingredients, except the- avocado, tomato , lettuce and rolls, in a bowl. Form into patties, approximately 6. Grill over a charcoal flame. Place cooked patties aside on a covered platter. Build the burger as follows: Place bottom of kaiser roll on a plate put on a leaf of lettuce, tomato slice, patty, avocado slice.
