The Hangover (or a family friendly name Breakfast Burger on a Bun)
Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef
1 tsp Worchesteir sauce
1 Tblsp Ketchup
2 Tblsp A-1 steak sauce
1 cup or one medium – large onion- diced
1 Tblsp extra virgin olive oil
2 Tblsp White Wine
2 eggs
3/4 tsp Lawrey’s Seasoned Salt
1/2 tsp Jane’s Crazy Mixed Up Salt
1 tsp pepper
3 Tblsp bread crumbs
For Toppings:
6 pieces of Swiss Cheese
6 pieces of Cooper Sharp Cheese
12 pieces of Bacon
6 Jumbo eggs
about 1 cup Thousand Island Dressing
about 3 Tblsp A-1 Steak Sauce
2 large onions
1 1/2 – 2 Tblsp olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
For Potatoes:
2-3 large potatoes
1 Tblsp Olive Oil
Lawrey’s Seasoned salt and pepper to taste
6 Keiser rolls
cooking spray
Instructions:
For Burgers:
Sautee onions in olive oil over medium heat, season with salt and pepper. Add the wine to the onions when they are slightly soft. Continue to sauté until the wine has absorbed. Set them aside to cool slightly.
In large bowl combine remaining ingredients along with the cooled onions and mix. If the onions are still hot when you mix them into the meat mixture you may end up scrambling your eggs.
Divide meat into 6 even amounts.
Saute sliced onions in olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Cook bacon until crisp.
Slice potatoes into rounds, par boil, and let cool until they can be handled. coat with olive oil, seasoned salt and pepper. Spray non stick spray onto grill and grill potattoes over medium- high heat until crispy and they have nice grilll marks.
Fry eggs in pan until over easy- over medium.
Grill the rolls until they are nice and toasty.
Spray grill with either cooking spray or coat lightly with olive oil. Cook on preheated grill approximately 450 degrees (some grills may vary in temperature) for 10-15 minutes per side.
To assble burgers place a piece of Swiss cheese on top of the burger then the fried egg, then the bacon and then the Cooper Sharp cheese. Spread about 1/2 Tblsp on each bottom half of each roll then top with potato slices. Top the potatoes with the burger. pile the sauted onions on top. Spread the Thousand Island dressing generously on the under side of the top of the burger. And enjoy!
