The S.S. Burger

You won’t need a bouquet of flowers when you share our Pinot Grigio. This crisp wine with floral aromas is a wonderful way to make an entrance.


6 cups finely shredded cabbage
5 Tbsp. peanut oil
5 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1/8 cup finely crushed cashews
1/8 cup chopped scallions
1/8 cup French’s fried onions
1/4 tsp. white pepper
1/4 cup Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise
9 Tbsp. Teriyaki sauce
3 lbs. ground sirloin
3 Tbsp. Grey Poupon Mustard
1/2 tsp. liquid smoke
cracked black pepper, to taste
6 Lg Onion rolls



In a medium bowl, combine cabbage, peanut oil, apple cider vinegar, cashews, scallions, French’s onions and white pepper. Mix well and refrigerate.

Light the gas grill and set to medium heat, close lid.

In a small bowl combine mayo, 3 Tbsp. of the Teriyaki sauce, and refrigerate. In a large bowl, combine sirloin, 6 Tbsp. Teriyaki, mustard, liquid smoke and black pepper. Mix well and form into 6 equal sized round patties. Cook patties on the grill for 4 to 5 minutes with lid closed. Flip patties and cook for 4 to 5 more minutes with lid closed. Apply the Teriyaki-mayo mix on the bottom bun add patty and top with slaw and top bun.
