The Sakes Alive Jive Turkey Burger

You won’t need a bouquet of flowers when you share our Pinot Grigio. This crisp wine with floral aromas is a wonderful way to make an entrance.

Ingredients

1/4 cup Vegetable oil for brushing grill top
2 Pounds ground turkey
3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 to 2 Tablespoons bread crumbs if needed to meat mixture if too moist.
6 slices pepper jack cheese
12 slices precooked turkey bacon
6 pieces leafy lettuce
6 large slices of fresh red tomatoes
1 medium sweet onion
3 Tablespoon low-fat sour cream
2 tablespoons medium tomato salsa
2 Tablespoons butter
6 onion buns

 

Instructions

Directions: Heat gas grill to med – high heat. Brush grill with oil In a large bowl mix turkey, Soy Sauce, Garlic powder, Onion powder, Salt, Black Pepper, Red Pepper flakes, and breadcrumbs if mixture is too wet. Form into six patties to fit buns.place on grill, Cook on each side about five minutes until fully cooked. Place cheese on top of burgers remove and set aside. Place precooked bacon on grill just long enough to get crisp, remove and set aside. Brush buns with butter and place on grill sliced sides down to toast slightly, remove and set aside. Next began to put burgers together. First lay buns opened face up. Place patties on top of buns, then add on top of patties the bacon, next place a piece of leafy lettuce on top of bacon, lay tomato slice on top of lettuce and place an onion slice on top of tomato. In a small bowl mix together sour cream and salsa drizzle on top of burgers and serve.
