Bright and full-bodied, this Zinfandel wine is a curious contradiction in tastes.

Ingredients

1. 1pound ground chopped beef/veal/pork combo
2. 1 small vidalia onion chopped
3. 1/2 cup of smoked chipotle bbq sauce
4. Roasted Red peppers
5. Fresh smoked mozzarella cheese
6. 1 cup chopped calamata olives
7. extra virgin olive oil
8. 1 clove garlic (finely chopped)
9. salt, pepper, southwest seasoning to taste
10. Lightly toasted semolina bread

 

Instructions

Mix together ground meat with chopped onion, bbq sauce and seasonings. In food processor mix into paste calamata olives, evoo, garlic. Slice red peppers and grill. Grill burgers med/rare. Cut bread into burger size pieces and lightly grill. Spread olive paste onto both sides of bread. Place burger and add slices fresh smoke mozzarella on top. Serve with glass of wine – your choice
