Ingredients

2 pounds 90% lean ground beef
1/3 cup coarsely chopped sweet yellow onion
1/4 cup diced (1/4-inch) Gorgonzola Dolce or crumbled Gorgonzola Piccante cheese (depending on taste)
1/4 cup finely shredded mild cheddar cheese
1/4 cup crumbled pre-cooked bacon
3 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
6 (4 1/2-inch) soft Kaiser rolls, split
6 romaine lettuce leaves
6 (1/4-inch-thick) large tomato slices

Instructions

Prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill with a cover, or preheat a gas grill to medium-high. To make the patties, combine ground beef, onion, Gorgonzola cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon, cilantro, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix well, being careful not to compact the ingredients. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and form the portions into patties to fit the rolls. When the grill is ready, lightly spray one side of each patty with non-stick cooking spray. Place the patties (sprayed side toward heat) on the rack, cover, and cook, turning once, until done to preference, 5 to 7 minutes on each side for medium. When the patties are cooked, remove from the grill, stacking to keep warm. Place the rolls, cut side down, on the outer edges of the grill rack to toast lightly. To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, and a patty on each roll bottom. Add the roll tops and serve. Makes 6 burgers
