The Vacation Burger

Pairs well with:

White Zinfandel

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.


3 lbs. of Ground Beef
1/2 regular size onion Salt Pepper
3/4 cup Sutter Home White Zinfandel
3/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
1 can of Crushed Pinapples
12 slices of Hickory Smoke Bacon
1 box of toothpicks
6 slices of american cheese
1 bag of Sour dough hamburger buns
1 jar of Miracle Whip
1 bottle of Grey Poupon



Prepare grill In a large bowl, mix together hamburger meat. Break hamburger meat up into small pieces. Chop onion into tiny pieces and add to hamburger mixture add salt and pepper. Add wine, worcestershire sauce and add to hamburger mixture. Drain juice on pinapples 1/2 of the can and add to mixture. Mix togher real good. Shape mixture into 6 large patties. Crisscross 2 bacon strips around each burger, and secure with toothpicks. Brush oil on grill so bacon won't stick. Place burgers on grill over medium heat. Cook, covered, until the burger is cooked all the way through. Turn often to avoid burning the bacon. When ready place hamburger on dish to drain and warm. Add 1 slice of cheese to each burger. Place bread on plate. Put Mircle whip on one side and Grey Poupon on the other. Place burger on the mayo side and 1 piece of lettuce on top of burger. Place other piece on top and enjoy the best burger you ever ate in the whole wide world.
