Tomato and Onion Burger

Pairs well with:

White Zinfandel

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.


Ground Round Hamburger Meat
1-2 Large Onions (chopped)
1-jar Cheese Whiz
2-3 large tomatoes
Kosher Salt
Black Pepper
1-cast iron skillet



Sprinkle with Kosher salt Sprinkle with Pepper Salt and Pepper burgers and place in cast iron skillet with onions and cook slowly.(3-burgers at a time) Slice tomatoe's 1/2 inch thick and sprinkle lightly with Kosher salt and set aside until burgers are ready. After hamburgers are done take 1-teaspoon of the Cheese Whiz and spread evenly on to hamburgers do this for each hamburger, next top with smothered onions, then add one slice of the tomato to each of the burgers. You can use the Texas toast bread for the buns which is what we use or hamburger buns. add French's mustard to the bread or buns. Serve immediatley with a nice glass of chilled white zinfandel wine. DELICIOUS!!!
