1 lb ground beef
salt/pepper to taste
1Tbsp dijon mustard
12 thin slices fresh mozzeralla cheese, marinated in italian oil and vinegar salad dressing
4 slices of a large red onion
8 slices from large tomatoes
12 slices artichokes from canned artichoke bottoms
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup sutte rhome red wine
olive oil for grilling vegetables
2 avocados, mashed and with lemon juice added to keep color/salt/pepper to taste
12 fresh basil leaves
4 sourdough french rolls



make 8 thin ground beef patties adding salt/pepper and mustard to mix. put marinated mozzeralla cheese in between two of them. seal patties to make one. grill onions, tomatoes, and artichokes that have marinated for l hour in balsamic vinegar and sutter red wine. drain off marinade. baste vegetables with olive oil when grilling till tender. make avocado spread while burgers are cooking to desired doneness. on bottom of warmed rolls put avocado spread then burger, artichokes, tomatoes, onions, basil leaves, then more avocado spread. Top with rest of roll and ENJOY!
