Tony’s Southern Exposure Burgers

Pairs well with:

Get cozy and get pouring. Our Merlot is the wine for long weekends and lengthy chats.

I love hot, spicy burgers with a rich, Southern taste.

6 strips of bacon

3 Lbs. of ground beef

2 1/2 cups of Feta Cheese

2 fresh Jalapeno peppers

2 med. size fresh Okra

1 med. sweet onion

3 tbs. of olive or vegetable oil

1/4 cup of minced garlic

1/2 cup of dill Havarti cheese

6 large burger buns

Place tinfoil on grill and poke holes for the grease to escape. Heat grill to a medium flame. Crisp the 6 strips of bacon, crumble and set aside. Place ground beef in a large bowl. Fold in the Feta cheese and crumbled bacon. Slice the Jalapeno peppers, Okra and onion paper thin and add them to ground beef. Add the olive oil and minced garlic. Knead the burger with your hands until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed into the beef. Mold beef into patties and cook on the grill until the centers are no longer pink (approx. 30 minutes). Top the burgers with the dill Havarti and allow cheese to melt (approx. 1 minute). Slide onto burger buns and serve. Serves 6.
