Turkey Fiesta Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Turkey
  • 6 Tablespoons Paprika
  • 6 Tablespoons Cumin
  • 4 Tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 3 Tablespoons Salt
  • 3 Tablespoons Cayenne
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 jalapeno
  • 1/2 Red Onion
  • 5 Sliced Pepper Jack Cheese
  • 5 Leaf of Lettuce
  • 5 slice of Tomato
  • 5 Tablespoons Guacamole
  • 5 White Buns
  • Crushed Tortilla Chips (optional)

Instructions

  • 1. Combine Turkey, Paprika, Cumin, Chili Powder, Salt, Olive Oil, and Cayenne in a bowl.
  • 2. Dice the jalapeno and Red Onion and add to bowl of turkey.
  • 3. Combine ingredients in bowl with clean hands until well combined.
  • 4. Arrange into patty form. Flatten them out until they are around 5 inches in diameter and create a divot in the middle of each patty with your hands.
  • 5. Heat a well greased grill on medium heat and add patties.
  • 6. Let patties cook for 3-4 minutes and then flip them to cook for an additional 3-4 minutes. Turkey should be cooked until it has an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • 7. Add Pepper Jack Cheese slices during the last minute of cooking on the grill until the cheese has melted.
  • 8. Remove patties and arrange them on the buns. Top with lettuce, tomato, guacamole, and crushed tortilla chips. Use any condiments as preferred.
