Veggie-Burger Supreme

Cabernet Sauvignon

This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.


1/2 cup soy beans, cooked
1/2 cup red lentils, cooked
1/4 cup rolled oats
2 medium eggs
2 celery stalks, finely chopped
1 medium sweet onion, medium chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
3 tbsp. teriyaki sauce
3 tbsp. ketchup
1 tbsp. dijon mustard
Six slices cheddar cheese
Six whole wheat hamburger buns



Combine soy beans, red lentils, oats and eggs in food processor or blender
Spoon mixture into large bow
Stir in the celery, onion and garlic
Add the teriyake, ketchup and dijon mustard
Mix ingredients well by hand
Form into six individual patties
Grill 3-4 minutes per side
When grilling the second side, add slice of cheddar to top of burger for final two minutes before removing from grill.
Place each burger on a separated whole wheat bun.
