Ingredients

1 lb. of ground beef
1/2 cup of crumbled crackers
1/2 cup uncooked oatmeal
1 beaten egg
1/4 cup of finely chopped onions
3 tablespoons of ketsup
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
6 slices of uncooked bacon
1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
1/4 cup of sliced almonds
6 hamburger buns
6 toothpicks

 

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 550 broil. 2. Put ground beef into a mixing bowl. 3. Blend in crackers and oatmeal. 4. Add beaten egg, onions, ketsup, worcestershire sause, salt and pepper and mix throughly. 5. Form mixure into 6 patties. 6. Wrap 1 piece of bacon around each burger holding in place with a toothpick. 7. Broil until desired doneness, 3-5 minutes on each side. 8. Remove toothpicks and sprinkle each burger with shredded cheese. 9. Broil just until cheese melts, about 1-2 minutes. 10. Put patties on buns. 11. Sprinkle a few sliced almonds on top and serve.
