Whopper-burgers

Pairs well with:

Zinfandel

Bright and full-bodied, this Zinfandel wine is a curious contradiction in tastes.

salt and pepper
Prepared mustard Pickle Filling:
pickle relish
1/2 inch cubes of sharp processed American cheese or fill each with a thin onion slice and a round a smoky cheese.

Instructions

Top with a mound of Pickle Filling or the other filling. Cover the fillings with the "lids," sea;omg edges well. Broil over hot coals about 10 minutes; turn; broil about 10 minutes more or till done to your liking. Season second side. Slip the patties into hot buttered buns. Makes 5 whopper burgers. If you can not grill it outside use your broiler pan and make them in the oven, using about the same amount of time.
