Wicked Blackberry Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of ground chuck
  • 1 pound of ground pork
  • 1 Cup of Sutter Home Malbec wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 Teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground garlic
  • 1/2 pound of blackberries
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 Cup sliced baby portobella mushrooms

Instructions

  • In a medium sized bowl mix together ground chuck, ground pork, 1/2 Cup of Sutter Home Malbec wine, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce and 1/2 teaspoon of ground garlic.
  • Form into 6 patties.
  • Cook until medium well on grill top or outside grill.
  • Top with Malbec sauce and serve on a brioche bun – with Sutter Home Malbec wine of course!
  • Malbec sauce recipe:
  • Mix together 1/2 Cup of Malbec wine, 2 Tablespoons of sugar, 1/2 pound of blackberries and 1 Cup of sliced baby portobella mushrooms.
  • Cook over
  • medium heat until the mixture is reduced and thickened a bit.
