1 lb Ground Sirloin
1/2 lb Ground Chuck 80/20
1/2 lb Ground Lamb (Shoulder if possible)
1/2 Large yellow onion chopped
2 Cloves garlic minced
1/4 tsp Oregano
1/4 tsp Basil
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1/8 tsp Allspice
2 C Feta cheese
1 Small jar good mayo
2 C Tabouli
12 Pita bread soft rounds 8 inches across approx
1 Fresh Nutmeg
1 C Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1-Combine the three ground meats along with the garlic, oregano, basil, cinnamon, allspice, and onion.
2-Using your hands form meat mixture into 6 patties, each will be approx 1/3 lb pattie.
3-Brush very lightly with olive oil and place on medium/high heat grill.
4-Grill for approximately 4 minutes on each side, depends on your grill of course.
5-Warm soft pita rounds on grill. Be careful not to make them hard and crispy.
6-Build burgers starting with a warm pita bread.
7-Spread a light layer of mayo on pita bread.
8-Place warm burger on next.
9-Grate some fresh nutmeg on burger.
10-Crumble feta cheese on burger divided for 6.
11-Place 1/3 C tabouli on each burger.
12-Coat pita topper with layer of mayo and place on top of burger mayo side down.
